Grad students

Mariah

Mariah Lees, Lab Manager. Mariah is a second-year Master’s student studying perception and cognition broadly, with a special interest in the process of prediction. Mariah has a strong foundation in studying cognition that includes previous research experience in visual attention and long-term memory, both at Goucher College. She plans to pursue doctoral work after graduating from Villanova.

Danielle

Danielle Buckley. Danielle is a first-year Master’s student in the Psychology program. She earned her B.S. in Psychology from Florida State University, where she conducted research on cognitive control processes. Her current research focuses on tactile perception, examining how people interpret touch-based stimuli. Danielle is also interested in speech perception in medical settings and how human factors principles can improve healthcare interactions.

Amy

Amy Kennedy. Amy is a first-year graduate student in the Psychology M.S. program at Villanova. She graduated from Cornell University with a B.A. in Biological Sciences and a minor in Spanish. She is interested in creating computational models based on biological neural networks to study speech perception. She is also interested in second language learning and loves to run, follow tennis, and learn new languages.

Rose

Rose Dietrich. Rose is a grad student in Villanova's Psychology M.S. program. She graduated from Wilkes University in 2021 with a B.A. in Neuroscience and Psychology. While there, she was involved in several research projects, including work examining Alzheimer's disease and traumatic brain injury in mouse models. She is interested in haptic and auditory perception and hopes to use findings from her research to help clinical populations.

Anne Marie

Anne Marie Crinnion. Anne Marie started working in the WRAP Lab during Summer 2016. She is currently a doctoral student at the University of Connecticut. She's interested in computational modeling, especially when applied to speech categorization. When she's not thinking about Steiner trees, she loves cycling, running, and listening to country music.

Undergraduates

Christana

Christana Archer. Christana is a senior at Villanova and is getting her B.S. in Psychology. She joined the lab in Fall 2023 and is involved in a variety of perception and language experiments. Outside of the lab, she enjoys puzzles, exercise, and trying new foods.

Diya Dudhia. Diya is a junior biology major with minors in global health and medical humanities. She joined the lab in 2023 to learn about speech perception and language comprehension. She plans to attend medical school after graduating from Villanova.

Nikhy Nath. Nikhy is a second-year undergraduate student pursuing a B.S. in Psychology. He joined the lab in the fall of 2024 and has been loving his time in the lab. He is interested in decision-making and the behavioral sciences more broadly, and he plans to pursue clinical psychology after graduating. Outside of running EEG experiments, Nikhy enjoys basketball, tennis, and fishing!

Tumi Ojo. Tumi joined the lab in the fall 2024 semester and is a first-year Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience student at Villanova. She has aspirations of pursuing a career in the medical field, specifically as a Pediatric Neurologist, and she is interested in learning more about speech perception and language research. Outside of the lab, Tumi enjoys painting, reading, and hanging out with friends!

Madison Romano. Madison is a third-year undergraduate student majoring in Psychology with minors in Cognitive Science and Deaf Studies at Villanova. She is pursuing a career in Speech Pathology. She is also interested in second language learning and audiology and loves singing, dancing, and theatre!

Sassy Saleeby. Sassy joined the lab in 2024.More coming soon!

Kaylee Tate. Kaylee is a junior at Villanova, currently pursuing a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Business. She joined the lab in the Fall of 2024, hoping to learn more about speech perception and production. Outside of the lab, she enjoys dancing, exercising, and cooking!

Sam Unger. Sam joined the lab in 2024. She is a second-year undergraduate student at Villanova University majoring in Psychology with a minor in Cognitive Science. Sam is interested in language development and intends to pursue a career in speech language pathology after graduating.

WARP Lab kids

kids Ellis, Kent, and Susan Toscano. This is our team focused on a long-term study of cognitive development! You can often find them together, playing Minecraft of other games, reading, writing, drawing, or camping and hiking. Stay tuned for more from them in the years to come!
